Have a great weekend!

I was so lucky to get the day off today from work (the family is going up north for the weekend). So I was able to sleep in and catch up on some reading. I dyed my hair this morning, just trying to take care of some natural highlights from the sun that turned my hair orange. This afternoon I am going to the movies with my family to escape the triple digit weather.

Here are some random pictures from the week:
My biggest pet peeve is chipped nail polish. I wouldn't polish my fingernails for about 4 years because the second I got a chip I would immediately remove it all. I finally found a base/top coat that keeps the nails from chipping (Sally Hansen Complete Care), but it was useless against LEGO's. Those things are evil!

Playing with foam stickers

My hair likes to fade into a nasty shade of rusty blondish orange in the sun, so I had to dye it an all over medium brown in order to combat my "natural high lights".

Hope you all have a great weekend, I'll be blogging next week about some awards I have won (and haven't blogged about, sorry for breaking the chain!) as well as my trip to the Toledo Zoo.

  1. I'm the same way about chipped nails and for some reason my polish only lasts one day before it's chip city.

  3. I'm the same way. I have naturally blonde hair and strawberry blonde highlights that tend to come out more and more in the summer. More times than not, it looks SO bad!

  6. I hear ya w/ the hair! I am a natural brunette but dye my hair red, but my temples have always turned blonde in the summer. So the blonde + the red = weird macaroni shade orange! lol Its super awkward!!

  8. Chipped nail polish gets on my nerves too! Essie is pretty good at staying on without chipping for at least a week. I will try the Sally Hansen base/top coat!
