Zoo Babies

Yesterday, Alex and I went to the Toledo Zoo for a date. He has two weeks off from his old job before his starts up his summer internship so we decided to spend it going on fun day trips and dates. The Toledo Zoo is one of our favorite places to go, the zoo is small but packs in a ton of cool stuff. This year was baby year; they had twin baby polar bears, two baby lemurs, and a baby monkey. The combination of baby animals and human babies was a future teacher (and girl with baby fevers) dream!

one of the twins (Que chorus of aws)

baby monkey climbing. I think we stayed and watched this little guy climb around for a solid twenty minutes. Was I dripping sweat standing in the sun? Yes! Was it worth it? Totally.

this guy had the right idea
so did they.

my favorite at the zoo is always the elephants!

straight cheesin'

Forcing Alex to take pictures with the little wallaby's. The Toledo Zoo has a new walk-through exhibit where you the wallaby's can roam freely They mostly stayed in the shade except for one guy who sprinted in front of us. The kid behind us had the perfect reaction when he ran the other direction screaming "I'm gonna die", a bit dramatic but totally priceless.

In my head you could totally see the baby polar bears perched up on the rock behind us. In reality their white fur makes great camouflage and we just look like dorky tourists standing by a fence.

  1. I want all those babies! They are too darn cute & adorable :) Ugh so jealous that you all could see those little cuties.. Glad you both enjoyed your visit to the zoo though.
