In all honesty, when my Facebook newsfeed was blowing up with links to the Kony video I passed it off as just another viral video that wouldn't be worth my time. It took me two days to finally click on the link, and I am so glad that I did.
If you haven't yet, take thirty minutes out of your day to watch the video. The video created by Invisible Children uses film to encourage people to support the end of the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war, and to promote peace in central Africa.
Normally I am one to be skeptical of "social change" movements. I think to myself, how is my effort really going to help? But this video proved my skepticism wrong. The Kony video proves that one person can make a change happen. And when a bunch of individuals come together we really can make something happen.
I challenge you to watch the video and pledge online. I promise it will be time well spent.

Thank you for helping spread the message! Many people HAVE known about this for 20+years BUT it's taken a small amount of them to have the guts, provision and heart to DO something about it... and I believe they have been anointed to deliver a message for such a time as this! May God be at the forefront of this breakthrough and deliverance! Sure there will be critics... it's funny to me... we don't care that the government uses our money for insane things such a saving polar bears (over human beings) and uncalled for artsy monuments yet we'll give a hoot over their finances. It's better to do something than have an excuse to do nothing -glad you rose up and posted this! Love your blog :)
