cashier to nanny

Ever since I was 16 I have worked at Aeropostale.  And as much as I LOVE shopping, working retail is no where near as fun. Working long closing shifts and constantly being "on call" just kinda sucks to be honest. It was not how I felt like spending my summer this year....So a serious job search was definitely in order.

 I registered for care.com and within a week I already had an interview. The family couldn't be more perfect; they live conveniently right down the street from me, the daughters are three and five {the ages I want to teach when I graduate}, and the little girls dance at the studio I went to {perfect, I know!} And after a three week process of interviewing, and waiting...I finally got the job!!

As much as the idea of  a full time job sounds horrible to some people, it has lots of perks. I am so excited to have a finally have set schedule and not have to work nights and weekends {gosh, I sound like such a grown up}. Oh, and the fact that I am added to the family's pool membership doesn't hurt either :)

I can't wait to post stories and photos of my adventures with the girls {Cara and Michela} this summer! Below are some of the ideas for activities I have discovered. Luckily the girls are crafty like me, and crafts really seem to calm them down {aka, stop the little one from crying}. So I'm making sure to have an emergency craft/activity with me at all time!

{"sand" made of rice and food coloring}
{home-made puffy paint}
{soft home-made "play dough"}
