My weekend via Instagram

My lazy Saturday morning breakfast consists of English muffins with strawberry preserves and a bowl of berries. I love being able to eat out on the porch before it gets too hot. This Saturday I was extremely proud that I was able to stomach hot coffee. I love iced coffee, and I love lattes, but for some ready hot coffee just doesn't appeal to me. I have weird food texture issues and to me hot coffee (even with milk) just feels like drinking hot water and it really bothers me.

On Saturday night the boyfriend and I went to a Mexican place for dinner. I didn't take pictures because even though Mexican food tastes amazing, the tacos didn't look very pretty and neither does Mexican rice. Of course I had to torture Alex with a protoshoot before we left though, I insisted since my necklace matched his shirt.

On Saturday morning my mom and I went to Plymouth's Art in the Park which is a craft/art show. I spent a lot more money than planned but I got lots of cute things. The shirt is hand painted and its a super soft burn out material. The necklace and earring set was from a store in Plymouth called Bella Mia Dressed Up. I have gotten my prom dress from there as well as an adorable casual printed dress. And the earrings were a steal for only 6$. I didn't realize how "minty" all of the things I bought were but I can't help that it is one of my favorite summer colors!

Bought three new Essie polishes at Ulta. They were buy two get one free and I had a 3.50$ off coupon {score!}. I picked Cute as a Button (pink), Orange it's Obvious (orange), and Lapis of Luxury (blue)

Went out to dinner and ice cream in downtown Plymouth on Saturday night. Sadly we didn't get any decent pictures together.

I really wish I wasn't in such a hurry to eat because this picture is really blurry, but I decided to share anyways. I had this pasta with olive oil, garlic, chopped tomatoes, roasted pine nuts, and blackened chicken on it (it was supposed to have artichokes but I hate them). Let me tell you I like died this was soo good.

Random Fact, I LOVE pickles. Especially Claussen brand ones.

Weekend via Instagram: Treating your self

I finally got a watch this weekend! My boyfriend always teases me saying I will never wear a watch so he refuses to buy me this Michael Kors beauty for my birthday/Christmas/anniversary. To prove that I will I bought a cheap (10 dollar with coupon) watch at Kohls this weekend, and I plan to wear it every day to prove I'll wear one (sneaky right?). Of course I can't find the watch anywhere online, but if this helps at all, I found it near the Lauren Conrad/Elle/other designer women's clothing section on an end cap. Hopefully this cheapie watch will magically turn into a beautiful silver Michael Kors watch by Christmas ;)

I may or may not have laid outside in my backyard for 4 hours straight on Sunday (and I may or may not have gotten a little bit burnt). Batching Suit from Victoria's Secret, towel from Vera Bradley (they don't carry Very Berry Paisley anymore, but here are the new colors.

Life as of lately

New summer clothes I got at Aerie. I got amazing deals almost everything was 40% off, and I had an extra 40% off coupon on top of that! Thanks mommy for the new summer clothes.

New shampoo I got, I have been using the Argan oil one for about a week and love it. This one is equally amazing for your hair, plus you smell like a pina colada after using it so it's a double win!

And in a last note I broke out the frapee maker this weekend. I love that I can make my own flavors, I use silk vanilla soy milk, Torani sugar free vanilla syrup, caramel ice cream syrup, and lots of ice! The machine I have brews the coffee then blends it all in one machine, but the same thing could be done by brewing coffee and pouring it into the mixture of yummies and ice then blending it with a standard blender. It's alot cheaper than Starbucks and this way I can control what types of ingredients go in to control the calories. I figure mine has about...

coffee: 0 calories
ice: 0 calories
1/4 cup vanilla soy milk: 25 calories
Torani sugar free vanilla syrup: 0 calories
Smuckers Caramel Sundae Syrup: about 100 calories (that's for 2 Tbsp. I don't measure but it's about that much)
Whipped Cream: I put a thin layer on top so about 50-100 calories
which equals about 200 calories total

My favorite starbucks frap: Grande Java Chip Frappuccono: 460 calories!!

In addition to the Vera Bradley outlet sale, I got a free sample of a caramel frapee (yum!), I got a shellac manicure, and my kony 2012 bracelet came in the mail (in all honesty I forgot I ordered it, it was an emotional purchase after watching the video)

Overall I had an amazing birthday! I started my day with a cancelled class so I got to sleep in and get coffee before my next class. I met my friend to study and she brought me a cupcake and a balloon {so cute}. And as awkward as it was carrying a balloon around campus I got so many birthday wishes from strangers it was kinda fun.

After school I got to spend time with my boyfriend! It was a gorgeous day so we went for a walk in Ann Arbor and shared a chocolate milkshake!

When we got back home I changed into my dress {had to look cute for dinner!} and went to J. Alexanders. I have this weird obsession with their steak and fries. The steak is covered in butter and the fries are kinda addictive.

I opened presents when I got home {pictures will be posted tomorrow!}. Even though I knew what 99% of my presents were Alex surprised me with tickets to Hunger Games at midnight...SO EXCITED!

Finished the night with a super chocolaty cake and cuddling with boyfriend :)

Bought some Savannah Smiles cookies from an adorable girl in Ann Arbor {total impulse buy, but so worth it} Ate them with my iced passion tea.

spent a beautiful afternoon reading and snacking on U of M's central campus. My "reading" kinda turned into napping and eating a Jimmy John's sandwich and too many lemon cookies.

Best of Instagram {week one}

Since getting my iPhone I realized I take so many more pictures then I ever used to. And I also feel the need to instragram everything! For my birthday instead of asking for hints and guessing, Alex decided to let me just pick out my own presents this year{smart kid}. I got my budget of course and went to Somerset and got tons of stuff I love but wouldn't normally buy myself. As much as I love shopping I am such a bargain shopper. I rarely buy something if it isn't on sale, and pretty much never without a coupon. So needless to say I felt like a bad-ass when I bought a shirt {my dream denim shirt posted below!!} full price AND without a coupon. I also got an adorable pair of Lacoste white sneakers, a red tissue-tank at Madewell, and a makeup case at Vera Bradley.
