Color Run & my first 5K

I am super excited to say that my boyfriend and I have decided to do The Color Run when it comes to Ann Arbor on July 22nd. In short the color run is a 5K where they spray paint on your at every kilometer, leaving you candy colored by the end of the race.

Even though this will be my first race, I am super excited. I am by no means completely un-athletic, I am able to hold my own when I run with Alex. But I am by no means going to be the fastest one there. My mom seems to think I will be walking the whole time, but I plan on proving her wrong. As soon as the semester is over I plan on doing a 5K running plan to be ready to go right in time for the race. Even though this is unlike anything I have ever done before I am so excited to try something new, and who knows...maybe running will be my new "thing".
