Okay...Sure it isn't the nicest beach in the world {it's a state park, and its Michigan...enough said} but it's a nice escape from the monotony of suburban life. My boyfriend and I packed up the car {2 not-outdoorsy people loading bikes, funny to say the least} and went on our way. We rode bikes around on the road {tried the trails last year, and I threw a temper tantrum, needless to say it wasn't worth a second try}, then I nearly died when a bug flew behind my sunglasses and my gut reaction was to scream and swerve into the ditch {smooth}. After the oh-so eventful bike ride we finally just laid by the beach then went to the sand dunes and had a mini-photo shoot. The sand dunes are so pretty and serene for just being a big pile of sand. I love just sitting on top with the hot sun beating on my face and looking out at all of the trees and just thinking about how the simple things in life are the most beautiful.
