This past week I worked with special needs kids on their mini society project. During mini society all the 4th graders establish and run a business. I worked with an ELL student as well as an autistic child to help them manage their tattoo and face painting business. It was a great experience for me since I've never worked with kids with special needs before. Some of the things they did were so silly, and sometimes they got into arguments but I was able to handle it. It really opened my eyes to a new side of teaching, but for now I think I'll stick with my plan of early childhood education, Kindergarten is where I belong.
